Sponsorships Foster Meaningful Impact
Over the last 17 years, SFC has built critical neighborhood support and recruited more than 4,000 donors and volunteers. Our volunteers have removed non-native vegetation, such as English ivy, kudzu, and privet, that choked native plants and hid the creek from view. With the help of Trees Atlanta, garden clubs, and individual volunteers, we have planted more than 1,500 trees and native pollinator plants along the South Fork of Peachtree Creek.
In 2021, we celebrated opening the Confluence Bridge, which connects people to nature across the divide of I-85, as well as to a network of other trails in the region. We are looking ahead to the next phase of connecting the creek by completing additional trail segments for more creek access points from the Beltline to Emory.
