Exploring Georgia’s Native Plants: Impacts of the Great Southeast Pollinator Census
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census began in Georgia in 2019 as a citizen science initiative and has since expanded across several southeastern states. Along the way, it has generated valuable data, inspired countless participants, and produced both expected and surprising insights into the pollinators that sustain our ecosystems.

W.D. Thomson Park Workday Plant Removal
Volunteers will engage in a rewarding morning of invasive plant removal in W.D. Thomson Park in Atlanta near Emory. There will be tasks for all ages and levels of experience. Wear closed toe shoes, long sleeves and pants as there may be poison ivy. Dress for the weather and uneven terrain. If you have your own gloves and tools, bring them along; otherwise you may borrow some of ours.
Meet in the lower parking lot at 9 am. Only stay as long as you like; every bit helps! We provide water and snacks.

Creek Rising 2026: Our Flagship Celebration
Join us for an unforgettable evening of refreshments, music, artisanal cocktails, and the chance to explore the trails and beauty of Zonolite Park. We fill the park with yard games, Atlanta’s favorite rubber duck race, and some amazing surprises.
We have presented this remarkable gathering for over 10 years, honoring the successes of our supporters, and every year we renew our commitment to protecting and connecting the banks of the South Fork of Peachtree Creek. Confluence Park Restoration 2
Join us for a morning of hands-on stewardship at Confluence Park!
Together, we'll remove invasive plants, pick up litter, improve visibility along the trails, and help create a healthier, more welcoming park for both people and wildlife. Volunteers will use hand tools to clear vegetation, create mulch to improve park paths and trees, and restore one of the first areas visitors experience when they arrive. Your efforts will make an immediate, visible difference—and many hands make light work, even on a summer day!
Bring a water bottle and wear closed-toed shoes. Long pants and long-sleeve shirts work well in these conditions to protect your skin, but anything you are comfortable in works best. We will provide cold water, snacks, and bug spray.
If you can’t attend for the full length of time, please come to the beginning for orientation and training, then stay as long as you are able. We will also be meeting on Saturday, July 11 and you can sign up for both events using the form below.

He joins us for the summer to develop a landscape management plan and environmental stewardship model to lay the groundwork for a Creek Conservation Corps.
