Paddle to Plant

Join the South Fork Conservancy and Trees Atlanta for a first-ever amphibious tree planting event along the banks of the South Fork of Peachtree Creek. Volunteers in kayaks or canoes are needed to "live stake" dogwoods, willows, elderberries and other native riparian tree species. No prior tree planting experience needed. We will show you how, but you do need a boat and the skills to operate it.

WHEN:  Saturday, March 7, 9am – noon.

WHERE: We will put-in behind the VA Hospital at 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. We encourage you to carpool if possible!

WHAT TO BRING: Your kayak, PFD (US Coast Guard Type III), helmet, paddle, sprayskirt and dry gear as needed. Plants, tools and gloves will be provided by Trees Atlanta.

Space is limited! To sign up please email tom@southforkconservancy.org
